no C’è

The No c'è project aims to regenerate “La Noce” a portion of the city of Bologna that is almost forgotten. The district is located between the Reno river and the A1 Highway, near the Marconi airport. the proximity to both the Reno River and the Airport appear to be more an obstacle to development of the area rather than a resource. 

Noce is mainly an industrial district - partly disused - in the south-west portion; in the north-east instead the fabric becomes residential, while in the centre there is a building temporary hosting a catholic church. Noce therefore seems to be a suspended neighbourhood, trapped in the "meanwhile", waiting to be transformed. 

The project is based on the idea of sewing up the residential area, reconnecting the neighbourhood with the city and the surrounding areas, providing the services that are currently lacking and sometimes absent, making the neighbourhood self-sufficient and attractive. In fact, the project does not intend to be limited to responding to the needs of the citizens but proposes to regenerate the area around the creation of a cluster for innovation. Such cluster will include activities of excellence that intend to innovate the city itself in line with the strategies of the metropolitan city of Bologna, both nationally and internationally.
